The Principal's Newsletter

The major challenge in my position as principal is to be pedagogical and make sure that children think it is important and fun to learn.

It is rewarding to see that I mean something to the children and that they know I can make a difference.

As Principal, I have a huge mandate. It can be burdensome to comply with the Education Act, regulations and all the thousand different requirements made upon me. But I can make a difference. I can make sure the students have good teachers and quality teaching where they learn for the future, build good self-esteem and can assimilate new knowledge.

The biggest challenge is to ensure that what takes place in the classroom is all encompassing; so that the teachers reach all children, enthuse, engage and help them to realise that it is important and fun to learn.
